About the Artist

Hollie Thornley is a ceramic artist who experiments with locally foraged clay. She is a collector of interesting objects and often uses these to inspire and incorporate them in her work.

Hollie’s work is a reflection of the local landscape, harnessing found objects, both natural and discarded.

Hollie says about her practice ‘I make my pots by pinching and coiling, slow and thoughtful process which allows me to achieve the distinctive surface texture. My fingers have pinched the clay hundreds of times over and over to build the form.’
